Read more…Zoe Aldcroft began her rugby career at Scarborough Rugby Club at age four, joining the girls' section at 12 and then progressing to the women's team. Aldcroft, now the captain of the England Red Roses, won World Rugby Women's 15s Player of the Year in 2021 and has played in multiple World Cups, making a significant impact in the women's game.
Ben Foden is a former England international rugby union player with clubs like Sale Sharks, Northampton Saints, and Rugby United New York, winning 34 caps for England and a Premiership title. In March 2025, Foden took on a dual role as Director of Rugby at Scarborough College and Head Coach at Scarborough RUFC
Silver Royd is a sports complex and club headquarters for Scarborough Rugby Union Football Club. Opened in 2009 after a £4 million investment, it features multiple pitches, a grandstand, a cricket pitch, a fitness centre, and extensive meeting and function rooms available for hire. The facility is located on Scalby Road on the northern outskirts of Scarborough and also includes a café, Hartley's, for members and visitors.
